I approach strategy as a design discipline. The name ‘Formis Advising’ says what I actually believe: that good strategy has form — it’s structured, considered, and built to endure. Forma is Latin for form, design, and beauty. It’s also the root of formative — because the work we do shapes organizations at a foundational level.

Fifteen years in nonprofit roles — alongside two decades of consulting — have shaped how I think about mission-driven organizations and ideas: what they need, where they get stuck, and what becomes possible when strategy and execution finally align.
